Some of my favorite moments at our Beach Haven West home begin with a simple question:
“Want to take the boat out?”
There’s no planning weeks in advance or loading up the car. We simply walk out the back door, untie the lines, and within minutes we’re cruising through the lagoons toward Manahawkin Bay.
Watching my son and his friends head out on the boat always reminds me why we chose waterfront living. There’s something special about seeing them leave the dock with the excitement of the day ahead. Whether they’re fishing, heading to a favorite sandbar, grabbing lunch by boat, or simply enjoying the sunshine, every trip begins in our own backyard.
That’s the beauty of living on the lagoon.
It’s not just about owning waterfront property—it’s about the freedom that comes with it.
Morning coffee on the deck while watching boats drift by.
An evening cruise after work to catch the sunset.
Neighbors waving as they pass your dock.
Friends stopping by by boat instead of by car.
Those are the moments that make waterfront living so unique.
Beach Haven West has one of the largest man-made lagoon systems on the East Coast, giving homeowners direct boating access to beautiful Manahawkin Bay and beyond. For boating enthusiasts, it’s hard to imagine a better place to call home.
But even if you don’t own a boat today, many people discover that living here naturally changes how they spend their free time. Crabbing off your dock, paddleboarding through the lagoons, watching ducks and swans glide across the water, or simply relaxing outside with a cool breeze—life seems to slow down in the best possible way.
As both a homeowner and a Realtor®, I’ve had the privilege of helping others discover this lifestyle. Many buyers come looking for a waterfront home, but what they truly find is something much more meaningful—a place where family traditions begin, weekends feel longer, and some of life’s best memories happen without ever leaving the neighborhood.
To me, that’s what Beach Haven West is really about.
It’s more than owning a house on the water.
It’s about opening the back door and discovering that your next adventure is waiting just outside.
Sometimes I’ll look out my back window and see my son and his friends heading out on the boat, laughing as they make their way toward the bay. It’s a simple moment, but it’s one that reminds me why I love living here. Beach Haven West is where memories are made.
That’s the lifestyle I enjoy sharing with my clients.
I’ve lived in Beach Haven West long enough to know that the homes are beautiful, but it’s the lifestyle that keeps people here. Watching my son head out on the boat with his friends is a reminder that some of life’s best memories don’t require a vacation—they begin right at your own dock.
